Andrijana Trpković was born in 1978, in Belgrad, Serbia. During the Balkan conflict she left for Prague, Czech republic where she studied costume and stage design and in 2014 she earned her Master’s Degree in scenography at DAMU, Academy of Performing Arts.
Shortly after she assisted in Schauspielhaus Zürich (Mundruczo and Agh, Parizek and Polivkova), Theater Neumarkt and Volkstheater Wien. Subsequently she was working on multiple Theatre, Film and TV productions. Among her prominent projects as an art and production designer is the feature film Filthy directed by Tereza Nvotova (Slovakia 2017), which had premiered at the IFF Rotterdam and won several prizes both internationally and domestically. She worked also as a Costume designer on Nvotova’s second feature film Nightsiren, premiered at the FilmFest Locarno 2022 (Best Film Award).
Andrijana Trpković is a part of a theatre group Kolonie, whose productions often deal with actual political, social and cultural issues. One of its plays One night stand/up! allowed Andrijana to fully unfold her creative potential as she debuted as an author with this quirky and authentic work based on her personal war experience. Her  second play Mixed Feelings about interaction with machines and transformation of humanity is in process and part of her current research.
Andrijana continues experimenting with the new forms and aesthetics of contemporary theater, audiovisual performances and installations and splits her professional life between Film and Theatre in Czech republic, Slovakia, Serbia and German speaking countries. Currently she is in the middle of a research project and works on her PhD thesis called Theatre in the Digital Age, being a part of Theatre science department and Philosophical Faculty at Charles University Prague. She has published several articles on Performing Arts in connection with digital technologies and transforming society. As a part of her research she co-conducted an interdisciplinary internship at the Centre for Experimental Theatre in Brno, entitled Physicality in Digital Culture - Layers of Reality.
